The Australian Defence Force Golf Assocation (ADFGA) exists as an approved Australian Defence Sports Council (ADSC) sporting association and operates under the auspices of Defence Instruction (General) Personnel 14-2.
Our Mission
Our mission is to encourage golfers within the ADO, of all levels, the opportunity to play in Regional, Inter-Service and National competitions/events.
Our Objectives:
a. to encourage and promote the sport of golf amongst members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and the Department of Defence (DoD) APS employees;
b. to foster competition in the sport of golf within, and between, the three Services and the Department of APS employees;
c. to manage, control and organise competitive events in the sport of golf between teams representing the ADFGA and civilian golfing organisations;
d. to manage, control and organise competitive events in the sport of golf between teams representing the ADFGA and the Service teams of other nations; and
e. to provide the opportunity for Service and APS personnel to become eligible for selection in representative teams.
2012 ADF National Golf Championships - "Week of Golf" (10 - 14 Dec 12)
The Australian Defence Force Golf Association’s (ADFGA) National Golf Championships is an annual event, and is the penultimate golf championship competition staged by the ADFGA at the Federal Golf Club, at Red Hill in Canberra. It is a week-long event, and will set in the second week of December between Monday to Friday, the 10 - 14 Dec 12.
More Information will be able to be obtained from an a Tournament Information Bulletin and Entry Package (TIB&EP). This is usually promulgated around July of each year. (* Note. dates, costs, information, etc. may significantly differ in the up-n-coming 2012 TIB&EP). Nationals Tournament Director, WGCDR Trevor Owens, on behalf of the ADFGA, is the author of the information which will be available from July 2012.
